Rorate Mass, Christmas Baskets, & More!

Here is your weekly round-up of parish news and events:

Rorate Mass
A “Rorate” Mass will be held on Dec. 1st at 5:15PM at SS Peter and Paul Church. The Rorate Mass is a Votive Mass in honor of the Blessed Mother for the season of Advent. Check the bulletin for future dates of the Rorate Mass. Our Lady shows herself in a special way as our leader through Advent to Christmas. The celebration is entirely by candle light.

Christmas Baskets

During this Advent Season we will be able to fulfill Jesus’s command to feed the hungry. For the 48th year SS. Peter & Paul will hold “Golden Masses” and collect food for those less fortunate. Our food drive will be held on December 5th & 6th and on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception Dec. 8th. Please bring non-perishable food with you when you attend Mass on those dates and place it in the boxes that will be located near the entrances of the church. We will add to the baskets fresh food, cheese, chickens, bread and potatoes which we must buy. We will need donations to cover this cost. Last year through your generosity we as a parish distributed 36 food baskets to families including 57 adults and 25 children in south Wood County. Food baskets will be packed on Wednesday December 16th at 9AM and they will be distributed on Saturday Dec. 19th also at 9AM, if you wish to help please call the parish office. You may also add names of people in need by calling the office.
